BIOGRAPHY

 

Music has been in Bas’ life from very early on. He grew up with it. As an eight year-old he learned how to play the piano and he has loved it ever since. Bas has a classical education, but it wasn’t long before his interest in pop music grew as well. During and after his study at the Conservatorium in Maastricht, he was an active member of a few pop/rock bands as a singer and guitarist.

Besides this, Bas is also known for his work with different choris, for which he's been a singer, a conductor and an arranger.

But most of all he has a passion for simplicity in music. After a few succesful years with his last band, he decided it was time to move on as a Singer/Songwriter. Currently he can be booked for performances for which he combines his own work with catchy yet surprising covers.

After his graduation, Bas has worked as a music therapist for children with multiple disabilities. Nowadays he's a music teacher.
